Writing as criticism

Essays, Criticism & Cultural Study

Farrokhfal’s essays move between literary theory, cultural study, Saadi, Persian classical writing, and the modern condition of exile and language. His prose treats literature as both historical memory and present-tense inquiry.

Editing & Translation

For years he worked as an editor with respected publishers and helped establish the first editors’ association in Iran. His translations brought major international literary works into Persian, including Graham Greene, Cleanth Brooks, and Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.
